Ho Chi Minh City won three important categories at the World MICE Tourism Awards, including Asia’s Leading MICE Destination.

On the evening of September 4, the World MICE Awards ceremony was held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of many international and regional delegates.

Ho Chi Minh City was honored to receive major awards, winning in three important categories, including: Asia’s Best MICE Destination, Asia’s Best Incentive Destination, and ITE HCMC was honored as Asia’s Best Trade Show.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Ho Chi Minh City has maintained its position as “Asia’s Leading MICE Destination”, beating many strong competitors from other countries. The city also hosted the MICE Awards for the first time, an important event for the MICE industry in the region.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the city has identified MICE tourism as one of the four key tourism types that need strong investment. She emphasized: “This award not only proves the capacity and attractiveness of Ho Chi Minh City as a leading MICE destination, but also strengthens the city’s position in the international arena.”

With modern infrastructure, rich culture and history, Ho Chi Minh City becomes an ideal location for international events. Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a leading destination in Asia by 2030 with the image of a city “Open – youthful – vibrant – looking towards the future”. This requires continuous investment in improving service quality, diversifying tourism products and brands, and promoting sustainable development.

In particular, ITE HCMC has made an important mark when it was honored as “Asia’s Best Trade Exhibition”. With 17 successful events, ITE HCMC has become an important destination for domestic and foreign businesses operating in fields such as aviation, hotels, tourism and travel, facilitating connections and expanding international markets.

The World MICE Awards are part of a series of awards developed from the World Travel Awards.

Previously in Manila (Philippines), the World Travel Awards honored Ho Chi Minh City as Asia’s Leading Business Travel Destination 2024; Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination 2024 and Asia’s Leading City Tourist Board 2024.
